The foundation of the Brueton Opaque Color finish on our standard casegoods line is medium density fiberboard of unusual surface hardness, tensile strength and inner core elasticity, all of which give the material a high impact-resistant quality.
The first phase of the Brueton Opaque Color finish is the application of a high-density, thermo set resin primer which is then hand sanded. Phase Two involves the application of specially formulated finish coats, which include top coats of less opacity and more clarity resulting in the unique hardness and depth if the finish. Phase Three finalizes the steps required to obtain the depth and clarity of the color finish with sanding, compounding, polishing and waxing.
The Brueton Opaque Color finish used in our standard metal designs begins with the fabrication of base material, cold rolled steel that has been chemically treated to accept special primers. After the primers have been properly applied a top coat of specially formulated finish us added to a brilliant, smooth surface.
The durability of the Brueton Opaque Color finish is unprecedented. With normal use, the finish builds up a lustrous patina which actually enhances the visual character of the color and the tactile experience of the surface.
Brueton Opaque Colors are available in both High-Gloss and Matte finish. Custom colors and metallic finish are available with an upcharge.
Please note that Opaque Colors may vary due to computer monitor resolutions and graphic capabilities.
